Coler is a 300-acre preserve with more than 20 miles of trails, run by the Peel Compton Foundation. It was a family farm until the land was donated to the foundation in 2020, and the preserve opened to the public that year. It is a five-minute bike ride from downtown Bentonville and connects to more than 250 miles of natural-surface trails in Northwest Arkansas. You can also walk the paved Applegate Trail, camp on site or stop at the Airship cafe. In 2025 Coler was named Arkansas Tourism Attraction of the Year at the Henry Awards.

Echelon is a new community of 18 homes two blocks from Coler, at 1602 W 3rd St. Leadership Properties developed it, and Thrilled Home Builders is the only builder. The two floor plans are three-bedroom homes of about 3,300 and 3,900 square feet, with a sauna and a private elevator standard, per the builder.
